Nestled in the foot of Himalayas, Uttarakhand is one of the fastest growing states of India. With more than 60 percent of the land covered in forests, Uttarakhand is blessed with several agro-geo climatic zones. This provides commercial opportunities for MSME companies in varied areas such as floriculture and horticulture. Alongside, the strong industrial policy and infrastructure has helped achieve significant progress in harnessing the untapped potential in sectors such as agriculture, IT, pharma, textile and handicrafts. Going forward, MSMEs shall continue to occupy an important position in the State’s industrial economy and continue to contribute to industrial production, export, creation of employment opportunities. MSME sector has potential to emerge as the best vehicle for sustainable industrial growth in the State. Recognizing the importance of MSMEs in the context of the State economy, Export-Import Bank of India, in association with Federation of Indian Export Organisations, is organizing this seminar on Opportunities for MSMEs in International Markets, at Rudrapur, Uttarakhand.
